Secure online ordering
The payment form used is an encrypted secure system. When you are using a secure page you will see a locked padlock symbol in the lower left of the window, indicating the SSL (Secure Socket Layer). We use industry standard 128 bit encryption technology validated by Comodo Security Services. It is among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions.
 SSL is an acronym for Secure Sockets Layer. SSL is a protocol for transmitting private documents over the Internet. It is primarily used to obtain confidential user information, such as credit card numbers. SSL works by using a private key to encrypt data that's transferred over the SSL connection. The URL of web pages that use an SSL connection begin with https (instead of http). It encrypts all of your personal information including credit card number, name and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet. Interestingly, despite the concern about the security of internet shopping in the late 90's, the vast majority of internet fraud is actually commited against e-commerce sites. It is actually far more risky to sell goods online than buy online. While the vast majority of our orders are legitimate, we do check very carefully and ask for card ID verification codes as well.

Cookies
As with many ecommerce sites, we use "cookies" as a tool to store your selections and changes to the shopping basket. Cookies are small segments of information that are stored on your computer's hard drive. Cookies do not contain any personal information about you, or contain any calories. If you return to our web site, they should conveniently remember your order for you.
Information storage
All payment information is strictly confidential and securely stored separately to our online system. Once each transaction is complete the relevant records are destroyed in accordance with bank requirements.
Your correspondence
When a thank you email is used on our Dear Loveflowers page we remove identifying details with just an initial in the sign-off. When we receive wedding photos they are only displayed in the Gallery with the bride's express permission, which she may withdraw at any time via email. When we include a question in the Your Questions page it is either a composite of several similar enquiries or a single enquiry with any identifying details and initial removed.
Optional questions are included in the order form – the information you may wish to provide is used solely for improving the web site and our service to you. We will not divulge any customer information to other parties, other than what is required to effect delivery and process payment.
Tell a friend
This function is provided solely for your convenience. It is not possible for Loveflowers to collect email addresses (either yours or the receiver's) if you use this function.
